Weeks after Justin Bieber’s emotional comeback performance in the MTV Video Music Awards, the singer is setting up in front of cameras again, on this occasion in a revealing new video interview. Speaking with France’s Clique TV, Bieber mentioned fame, his bad boy reputation, using the services of Kanye West, gun control with his fantastic top five favorite rappers.
In March, Bieber shared that they, Kanye and Rick Rubin were collaborating on music for his follow-up to 2012’s Believe. “We did some stuff for your album. We did this song… I don’t know if it is going to make the album. But it is great, really New York vibe,” Bieber said. “Kanye’s a talker. So you get him inside a room and hubby starts talking and ranting, and I just sit and I listen. Because he’s gone through a lot of stuff and that he’s not just speaking to talk, he obviously has something to say which he’s feeling from his heart. So when I hear that, I like to just sit and listen because he’s an extremely smart guy.” West’s one word of advice to Bieber: “You got a chance to give them that music that’s like ‘F*** you.'” Check What Do You Mean sheet music.
What Do You Mean
Bieber is asked about Kanye’s presidential dreams in 2020, and although the Canadian singer can’t legally run for your Oval Office, he did admit that – if he could – his first order of business as Commander-in-Chief will be to strengthen gun control in America. “I’d probably fix many of the gun laws. In Canada we do not really have any guns and there is no gun violence. That really solves it,” Bieber said. “They think it’s for protection and stuff however it always results in some bozo’s hand.”
As for Bieber’s five rappers, he listed without hesitation, “Tupac, Mase, Nas, Biggie, Eminem. Eminem is first.” Bieber even dropped some lines from Mase’s “Feel So Good” before proclaiming, “Yeah, Mase was dope.” He didn’t pick favorites if it came to the Meek Mill vs. Drake feud, saying which he’s neutral in this beef, although he crowned Drake the superior rapper.
